I think our project was quite a success. Even though everything was last minute, I think we managed to get our points through to the audience briefly and informative at the same time. During our preparation for the project, we encountered quite a few problems that we could not really solve until it was onthe adge of our deadline. I think it is also frustrating that our group members do not have much time to meet up and discuss, this resulted in rushing to complete in a single day. However, despite all the troubles, it was really fun working with my group, and i hope more of these projects could be arranged.

English Project Reflection - Singapore Icon

Reading at my group members reflection it is quiet funny, but all the reflections are true. I'm agree with them. While others highlighted the difficulty in this project, I wanted to share the joy.

I enjoyed this project. I enjoyed doing the research that we must collected. I enjoyed going to the PasirRis Fish Farm by cycling in the hot afternoon to take photos of clown fish. I enjoyed visiting all the fish shops to take the best photos of the fish. I enjoyed the close deadline. I enjoyed staying till night for completing the modified speech in McDonald. I enjoyed to present our hard work in front of the class.I enjoyed everything in this project.

New knowledges that I have gain are what clownfish is, where and how PasiRis Fish Farm is, and what is descriptive and persuasive writing. One more thing, how to speak out in front of the class.

14082008 Reflection

Through this project I have learnt that team work is indeed very important when the project is needed to be completed given a deadline. We had to make sure that we divide the work among the group members and that everyone had a role in the project. And my role was mainly on searching on the characteristics of the clownfish. As the icon that we have chosen is not something that people would usually associate with Singapore. When thinking of our arguementative speech, we had to think out of the box for the speech points. Also through this project, i got to know more about the clownfish. I feel that my group had done quite well for this project as i think that my group members are all good speaker although i am not very good at presentation.

Reflection

As we start the project late, we only have about a week to finish it. In addition, our group members' CCA and a few days of my MC away from school had result us with very little time left. Spending quite awhile at Pasir Ris farmway, we finally gotten some pictures. it's very tiring cycling from Tampines all the way the to Pasir Ris with a small bike. Picture of clownfish are not very easy to take either and very time consuming as they kept on moving, swimming around. Finally when it settled down, when your camera up and ready,and there it goes again! Finding clownfishes on sea anemones are even harder as the shops usually do not place them two together. But still we managed to find one. We also spend most of the time doing this project in Macdonalds. But on the day of presentation, its quite good. Although i do not think i had done well, but i am happy that the whole group had done well. In this project, i started to hate doing last minute projects and also get to know more about what is descriptive writing and argumentative writing is.
